Van She invite you to enjoy their second record, Idea Of Happiness, their most focused, joyous musical excursion to date. An album stirred by sunbaked travels and fleeting truths, and shaken with the sands of time, Idea Of Happiness was recorded, engineered and produced by the band themselves in Sydney, Australia and mixed in Los Angeles with Tony Hoffer, (Beck, Air, Phoenix and M83). Fluid tropical rhythms saturated in slinky synth bass and the atmosphere from mid-summer night dreams. Catamaran rock, whimsical Fleetwood Mac rips, and unapologetic love songs. This is Van She’s Idea Of Happiness.
Fog Electric is the follow-up to Grappling Hooks, the band’s debut which received massive critical acclaim when it was released in 2010. NAO are the Scottish based trio. They describe themselves as playing their instruments within a computerized wall of sound and they have been labeled prog-pop and electro-rock. Fog Electric was recorded and produced by Tony Doogan (Super Furry Animals, Mogwai, Teenage Fanclub, Belle & Sebastian) and will lift the band to even higher levels.
‘Super exciting new Rock ‘n’ Roll for a new decade’ – Zane Lowe (BBC Radio One)
After a ten year hiatus, Steve Roach and Dirk Serries (formerly recording as vidnaObmana) reconnect to begin anew.
‘Almost an hour of slow evolving, freeform textural music meant as a contemplative counterpoint for fast and hectic times. The smooth morphing and overall lush soundscapes, presented in five lengthy tracks, are centered on pure minimalism, introspection and harmony, opening up vast but tranquil spaces with gently shifting ripples. Delicate sound meditations of deep ambience with a zen-like flow and distinct stillness found in its core. Low Volume Music makes contemporary meant for the here and now.’ – Sonic Immersion
